Accessibility Statement
Last updated September 8, 2026
DJ Bodega is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or captions.
This statement explains the standard we work to, what we have done, where we know we fall short, and how to reach us if something on the site gets in your way.
WCAG 2.1 AA
The standard we design and maintain this site to.
No website required
Call, email or text and we take your inquiry directly.
Access at your event
Booth placement and volume planned around your guests.
Barriers fixed first
Reports of accessibility issues are treated as priority fixes.
Our commitment
We want every visitor to be able to browse our work, understand what we offer and submit a booking inquiry independently. Accessibility is treated as part of building and maintaining the site, not a one-time fix.
Standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines are the benchmark used internationally and referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Our current status is partially conformant, which means most of the site meets the standard and some content does not yet.
What we have done
Measures taken across the site include:
- Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate by structure
- Text contrast checked against the AA minimum on every background, including photography
- Full keyboard operation with a visible focus indicator on links, buttons and form fields
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and empty alt on decorative ones
- Form labels tied to their fields, with errors described in text rather than colour alone
- Layouts that reflow to 320 pixels and remain usable at 200 percent zoom
- Motion limited to short transitions, reduced further when the browser requests reduced motion
Known limitations
We are aware of the following and are working on them:
- Embedded audio and video players from YouTube and SoundCloud follow those platforms' own accessibility behaviour, which we do not control
- Older mixes and event clips do not yet have captions or transcripts
- Some archive event photography is missing detailed alternative text
- Third-party booking forms may present their own validation messages
Assistive technology tested
The site has been reviewed with current versions of VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, NVDA on Windows, keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom and mobile screen magnification, in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
We test after significant changes and at least twice a year.
Alternatives if something does not work
You never have to use the website to book us. Call, email or text and we will take your inquiry directly, read out availability and pricing, and send agreements in the format that works for you, including large print or plain text.
Accessibility at events
Tell us about access needs for your event and we will plan around them. That includes booth placement clear of walkways, volume levels appropriate for guests with sensory sensitivity, coordination with sign language interpreters, and avoiding strobe or flashing lighting effects on request.
Feedback and enforcement
We welcome reports of barriers and treat them as priority fixes. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, which enforces accessibility obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
