Terms & Conditions
Last updated September 8, 2026
These terms govern the use of this website and the entertainment services provided by DJ Bodega ("we", "us"). By submitting an inquiry, signing a booking agreement or paying a retainer, you ("client") accept them.
Where a signed booking agreement covers the same subject, that agreement controls. These terms are the baseline that applies to everything it does not address.
Your date, held
A signed agreement and a fifty percent retainer reserve your date.
One free postponement
With more than sixty days notice, to a new date within twelve months.
Your list is respected
Your do-not-play list is honoured without exception.
Florida law applies
Any dispute is first resolved in good faith, in writing.
Services
We provide DJ and entertainment services for weddings, private parties, corporate events and venue bookings. The specific hours, location, coverage and equipment for your event are set out in your booking agreement and quote.
Anything not listed in that agreement is not included and will be quoted separately before it is provided.
Booking and confirmation
A date is only reserved once we receive a signed agreement and the retainer. Verbal or email confirmation alone does not hold a date. We accept one event per date and the first completed booking takes it.
Fees and payment
The retainer is fifty percent of the quoted fee and is applied to the total. The balance is due no later than seven days before the event unless your agreement says otherwise.
Late balances accrue interest at the rate stated in the agreement. We reserve the right not to perform where the balance is unpaid at the start of the event.
Cancellation by the client
Cancellations must be sent in writing. The retainer is non-refundable because the date is removed from our calendar at the moment of booking.
- More than ninety days before the event: no further amount is owed beyond the retainer
- Thirty to ninety days before: fifty percent of the remaining balance is due
- Fewer than thirty days before: the full fee is due
Postponement
One postponement is permitted at no additional fee where we are given more than sixty days' notice and the new date is within twelve months and available. If the new date is unavailable, the cancellation terms above apply.
Cancellation by us
If we cancel for any reason other than force majeure, the retainer and any payments made are refunded in full. Where possible we will also propose a vetted replacement performer at no additional cost to you.
Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events outside reasonable control, including severe weather, hurricanes, government orders, public health restrictions, venue closure, power failure or transport disruption.
In those circumstances we will work with you to reschedule. Amounts already paid are credited toward the new date.
Client responsibilities
To perform properly we need the following from you or your venue at no cost to us:
- Safe and adequate performance space with dedicated power as set out in the technical rider
- Access for load in and setup at the agreed time, and a contact on site
- Shelter and level ground for any outdoor performance
- Accurate venue rules, noise limits and curfew times in advance
- Any permits, licences or insurance the venue requires from the host
Equipment and damage
All equipment we bring remains our property. The client is responsible for loss or damage caused by guests, other vendors or venue staff, excluding normal wear and our own negligence.
We may stop the performance if the booth area becomes unsafe, including where guests interfere with equipment.
Overtime
Additional performance time beyond the agreed end is subject to venue permission and our availability, and is billed at the hourly rate in your agreement. Overtime is invoiced after the event.
Music, requests and content
We select and mix music at our professional discretion, guided by your must-play and do-not-play lists. Your do-not-play list is respected without exception.
Where a licence is required for the public performance of music at your venue, the venue or the client is responsible for holding it.
Photography and promotion
We may photograph or record short clips at public and venue events for portfolio and promotional use. At private events nothing is recorded or published without your written permission, and any content can be removed on request.
Liability
Our total liability in connection with an event is limited to the fees paid for that event. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or the cost of a replacement vendor arranged by you.
We hold general liability insurance and will provide a certificate on request. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Website use and intellectual property
The content of this site, including photography, mixes, text and the DJ Bodega name and marks, belongs to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced without written permission.
The site is provided as is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and availability shown on the site is indicative until confirmed in writing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Miami-Dade County. The parties agree to attempt a good faith resolution in writing before starting proceedings.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will revise the date at the top when we do. The version in force at the time you sign a booking agreement is the one that applies to your event.
